...Heat & Humidity Into The Weekend With Storms Later Wednesday/Thursday...

Radar remains clear early this evening across the Bluegrass State with semi-comfortable temperatures in the middle to upper 80s. This changes tomorrow and through the rest of the week with high heat and daily storm chances in the forecast. Highs each day will hover in the upper 80s to low 90s. More moisture will make it feel more like around 100 at times during the heat of the afternoon. Hence, livestock heat stress will run in the danger to emergency category on a daily basis.

Producers should minimize moving livestock around the farmstead or transporting animals to the market during afternoon and early evening hours until animal heat stress decreases. Also provide animals plenty of cool water and shade. More info on mitigating heat stress can be found here. Do not forget about pets too!

Outlooks hint that this hot pattern will last through next week. While it will be hot, most days feature at least a chance for rainfall. Heavy rain, lightning, and occasional gusty winds will remain the main threats.
