A cold front will move through the region later tonight. A secondary impulse behind it will bring additional rain and snow chances into the region today, with all snow expected by this afternoon and evening, with some minor snow accumulations over south central Kentucky.

Across Kentucky...temperatures are near 31 degrees west, near 34 degrees central, and near 43 degrees east. Current sky conditions are fair west, cloudy central, and light rain east. In the west, relative humidity is near 54%, and the dew point is near 16 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 64%, and the dew point is near 23 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 100%, and the dew point is near 43 degrees. Current drying conditions are fair west, fair central, and poor east. Tobacco stripping conditions are marginal west, marginal central, and favorable east. There is patchy fog east. Winds are from the north at 8 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. The wind chill is near 23 degrees west. Winds are from the west at 15 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. The wind chill is near 24 degrees central. Winds are from the northwest at 9 mph with gusts at 20 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds and light rain. Temperatures for the period averaged 44 degrees across the state which was 3 degrees warmer than normal and no change to the previous period. High temperatures averaged from 56 in the West to 51 in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 5 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 0 degrees from normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 36 degrees in the West to 34 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 4 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 4 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period was 64 degrees at ALBANY 1N and the extreme low was 19 degrees at CARLISLE 5SW.

Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 0.17 inches statewide which was 0.91 inches below normal and 16% of normal. The barometric pressure at Las Vegas NV reached a record low reading of

A cold front brought high winds to the eastern slopes of the Northern and
Central Rockies. Winds gusted to 97 mph at Mines Peak CO. In Wyoming, up to
a foot of snow blanketed the Teton Village Ski Resort, northwest of
Jackson. Strong chinook winds in the Central High Plains Region, gusting to
61 mph at Scottsbluff NE, warmed temperatures to near 70 degrees. (Storm

Squalls produced heavy snow in the Lower Great Lakes Region. Totals in
northeastern Ohio ranged up to 14 inches at Harpersfield, and totals in
western New York State ranged up to 14 inches at Sodus. In the snowbelt of
Upper Michigan, the Ontonogon area reported two feet of snow in two days.

Heavy snow fell across the northern and central mountains of Colorado, with
24 inches reported at Steamboat Springs. Six to twelve inches of snow fell
in the Denver and Boulder area delaying plane flights and snarling traffic.
Heavy snow also spread across the Central Plains into the Mississippi
Valley. Winner SD received 11 inches of snow, and more than ten inches of
