Current sky conditions are fair west, cloudy central, and light rain east. In the west, relative humidity is near 54%, and the dew point is near 16 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 64%, and the dew point is near 23 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 100%, and the dew point is near 43 degrees. Current drying conditions are fair west, fair central, and poor east. Tobacco stripping conditions are marginal west, marginal central, and favorable east. There is patchy fog east. Winds are from the north at 8 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. The wind chill is near 23 degrees west. Winds are from the west at 15 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. The wind chill is near 24 degrees central. Kentucky Climate Summary Kentucky Climate Summary For the Period 12-03-2019 to 12-09-2019 Temperatures for the period averaged 44 degrees across the state which was 3 degrees warmer than normal and no change to the previous period. High temperatures averaged from 56 in the West to 51 in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 5 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 0 degrees from normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 36 degrees in the West to 34 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 4 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 4 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period was 64 degrees at ALBANY 1N and the extreme low was 19 degrees at CARLISLE 5SW.Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 0.17 inches statewide which was 0.91 inches below normal and 16% of normal.
