566 FXUS63 KPAH 192310 AAA AFDPAH Area Forecast Discussion...UPDATED National Weather Service Paducah KY 610 PM CDT Fri Apr 19 2024 .KEY MESSAGES... - Mostly dry and seasonally cooler conditions can be expected through the weekend. - Low temperatures dipping into the middle to upper 30s Saturday night and especially Sunday night will give us the potential for some frost. - Slightly warmer and wetter conditions return for the latter half of next week. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 200 PM CDT Fri Apr 19 2024 A cool weekend is on tap as surface high pressure helps draw in a colder Canadian air mass, while the upper long wave trof responsible for our recent weather churns itself across the upper Ohio Valley and Northeast. Highs will run lower half 60s. Lows will fall thru the 40s, and may dip into the mid-upper 30s for a lot of us by Sunday night. This combined with clear skies/light winds make for our best frost potential late Sunday night. Clouds and winds may hinder frost development the previous night, when some upper 30s are also possible. Temps rebound closer to seasonal norms next week. Another dip in the jet stream drives a cold front thru the area Tuesday night, so preceding that, there will be a prefrontal pcpn chance, including thunder, Tuesday afternoon-evening. Another low pressure wave incoming by week's end could produce similar pcpn chances, and higher thunder chances with a little warmer/wetter Gulf input. && .AVIATION /00Z TAFS THROUGH 00Z SATURDAY/...
