...Freeze Warning and Frost Advisory In Effect for Tonight & Friday Morning...

Well...as of tomorrow, Kentucky is officially one full month in to spring. The problem is....it feels like winter. Freeze Warnings and Frost Advisories are in effect for tonight with lows dipping into the upper 20s to middle 30s, coldest temperatures across Eastern Kentucky. This could cause damage to sensitive vegetation.

Is this out of the norm? Depends where you live. Looking at spring freeze/frost occurence data, Western and Central Kentucky typically see the last freeze of the spring season over the first and second weeks of April. For much of the Bluegrass and Eastern Kentucky, that date is pushed back to the latter half of April. Not saying it will happen, but many across Kentucky have had freezes occur into May. It just does not occur that often.

Getting back to the forecast, the seasonably cool weather continues into the weekend. Patchy frost will again be possible tomorrow night. Dry conditions continue through Sunday, before chances increase for the start of the work week.
