At Napakiak, residents reported high water threatening community infrastructures, from Friday and Saturday's high tide, inundating most low spots in the village, including the the road to the dump. Water levels are reported to be higher than during breakup flooding this past May. Residents in Kasigluk reported water was encroaching on low lying residences, with water levels similar to those seen during this year's breakup. In Tuntutuliak, residents are reporting high water in the village over the past few days. Based on tidal and storm surge forecasts, river levels are expected to be highest during Sunday's high tide, with water levels at Bethel, along Brown's Slough, approaching the flood stage of 8.5 feet by Sunday afternoon. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1240 PM AKDT, a strong storm system is expected to track just to the north of the Y-K Delta on Sunday, with strong southwest winds and associated storm surge blocking flow along the Kuskokwim River.
