At 904 AM PST, satellite imagery is showing moderate to locally heavy snow showers moving across eastern Curry and Josephine counties, moving northeast at 25 mph. Snow accumulations of 0.5 inch up to 2.5 inches have have been reported in snow showers. An additional 0.5 to 3 inches is possible this morning through 11 AM PST in Josephine county with these showers. Road surface temperatures will gradually warm through the morning limiting road accumulations to the time of and shortly after more intense snow showers. Locations impacted include... I-5 near Grants Pass to Sexton Summit, Highway 199 including Hayes Hill Summit, Cave Junction, Selma, Williams, Agness, Sunny Valley, Kerby, and Cathedral Hills Trails. Visibilities may drop to a half mile or less in this area of moderate snow. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads are likely to lead to accidents. Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra time when traveling.
