Showers have started to reach Lake county as these move to the northeast. So far, these have only been producing moderate rainfall and brief gusty winds up to 25 mph. As the afternoon progresses, storm coverage will increase but it will be less active than previous days. Regardless, scattered showers and storms will be moving slowly eastward. A few stronger storms will be possible, especially with any boundary collisions near the Interstate 95 corridor toward late afternoon. Main storm threats include frequent lightning strikes, gusty winds up to 40 to 45 mph, and torrential downpours producing locally heavy rainfall of 2 to 3 inches.
