Weather hazards expected... Limited hail risk. Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk. Limited lightning risk. Limited excessive rainfall risk DISCUSSION... Scattered showers and storms will be possible this afternoon and tonight, mainly northwest of a Joplin to Warsaw line. A few addtional scattered storms will be possible during the afternoon over south central Missouri. Small hail and gusty winds up to 50 mph will be possible with any stronger storms. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Additional showers and thunderstorms will develop on Thursday. If enough instability develops then a few storms could produce gusty winds and small hail however the severe weather threat is marginal. Heavy rainfall on saturated soils may lead to flooding Thursday afternoon and evening. Additional chances for showers and thunderstorms exists this weekend with the highest chances Saturday.
