Dry and warm weather continues east of the Cascades and across Northern California through this afternoon. Wetting precipitation will spread across the area this evening through Saturday morning with sharply falling snow levels (to 3000 ft by Friday night.) This is followed by a cool, showery weather pattern the remainder of the weekend. There is also a slight chance of thunderstorms Saturday afternoon for inland areas.
