Fire weather conditions remain elevated mainly for South Park and the southern foothills today through tonight. Recent snow/rainfall should keep conditions low. Breezy southwest winds are possible this afternoon across the region with wind gusts up to 30-40 mph. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon mainly for the northern foothills and plains. This evening, a cold front will pass through the eastern plains increasing wind gusts once more. Tonight, relative humidities recover above 70 percent from the mountains to the plains. LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday through Tuesday... It will be cooler on Saturday with a chance of afternoon showers and a few thunderstorms over the higher terrain. The plains will be dry.
