An area of rain continues across portions of southeast Kansas, where upwards of 9 inches of rainfall over the last 24 hours. This has resulted in several rivers reaching at least minor flood stage. Rain and storm chances will gradually diminish from west to east during the morning and afternoon hours today. Far eastern Kansas stands the greatest chance for additional rainfall this afternoon. High temperatures will range from the 70s across southern and eastern Kansas to the 60s across northwest Kansas. Quiet weather conditions are expected for the Heartland tonight as lows reach the 30s across northwest Kansas with 40s and 50s across central and eastern Kansas. $$
