Gusty southerly winds are ongoing across much of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas this morning and are expected to continue through the afternoon. Expect gusts in the 25 to 30 mph range to be common today. Isolated showers and thunderstorms may again develop this afternoon, affecting parts of southeast Oklahoma and western Arkansas. After relatively cooler conditions mid to late this week, upper level high pressure will make a return to the region for the weekend and into early next week.
