The Storm Prediction Center continues to give a Marginal Risk, or level 1 of 5, for severe storms along and west of a line from Manchester, Iowa to Memphis, Missouri. The primary threat is strong wind gusts in that area. Some strong to severe storms may be seen farther east, towards the Mississippi River, where isolated severe winds and hail will be possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY Building heat and humidity will lead to peak heat indices in the mid 90s to around 100 degrees from Sunday through Tuesday. There are periodic chances for showers and thunderstorms through the middle of next week. However, prolonged dry periods are likely and the areal coverage of rain may remain low. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not anticipated through tonight.
