in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 8 degrees warmer than normal in the West
to 10 degrees warmer than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 42 degrees in the West
to 38 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 12 degrees warmer than normal
in the West to 10 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period
was 64 degrees at WHITESBURG 2NW and the extreme low was 28 degrees at VANCEBURG 6W.
Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 1.03 inches statewide which was 0.89 inches above normal
and 736% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 1.24 inches, Central 1.17 inches,
Bluegrass 0.92 inches and East 0.80 inches, which was 1.1, 1.02, 0.79 and 0.66 inches above normal.
