Hazardous Weather Outlook For TODD County, Kentucky
411 AM CST Fri Jan 17 2020

 DAY ONE  Today and Tonight

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for small parts of southern
Illinois and southeast Missouri, mainly northwest of a line from
Poplar Bluff to Carbondale to Fairfield Illinois. A light glaze of
freezing rain is possible in those areas today.

Rain tonight could cause some isolated flooding of poor drainage
areas in southern Illinois and southeast Missouri. Rainfall
amounts could be up to an inch in those areas. 

Winds will become rather strong and gusty tonight. Gusts from 30
to 40 mph are expected after midnight.

Minor to moderate river flooding will continue on several area 
rivers.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Saturday through Thursday

Strong gusty winds will continue Saturday morning, with gusts from
30 to 40 mph. 

A blast of cold air is expected Sunday through Tuesday of next week. 
Gusty winds combined with lows mainly in the teens should result in 
a period of single digit wind chills across the northern half of the 
area Sunday morning, and across the entire region by Monday morning. 
Wind chills may be a few degrees below zero along and north of Route 
13 in southern Illinois Monday morning.

Widespread minor to moderate river flooding that is occurring or 
forecast will continue. Refer to the river flood warnings and 
statements for the details.

 SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT  

Spotter activation will not be needed. Spotters are encouraged to
report any impacts due to freezing rain or sleet today.
