.SYNOPSIS...
High pressure allowed temperatures to return to near normal today. 
Expect a slight warm up over the weekend, with temperatures reaching 
into the upper 60s in the warmest locations Sunday. A number of weak 
shortwaves will pass over Vermont and Northern New York during the 
forecast period, with widespread, light precipitation in the 
forecast over the weekend and beyond.

Across Vermont...temperatures are near 53 degrees north, near 54 degrees central, and near 59 degrees south. Current sky conditions are sunny north, sunny central, and sunny south. In the north, relative humidity is near 29%, and the dew point is near 22 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 23%, and the dew point is near 17 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 22%, and the dew point is near 20 degrees. Winds are from the northeast at 9 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the south at 8 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are calm south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 59 degrees at Bennington. The lowest temperature is 53 degrees at Newport and Lyndonville.

produced the first April thunderstorm of record at Fairbanks. Pea size hail
