Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Virginia

Across Virginia...temperatures are near 82 degrees north, near 87 degrees central, and near 82 degrees south. Current sky conditions are partly sunny north, partly sunny central, and partly sunny south. In the north, relative humidity is near 47%, and the dew point is near 60 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 49%, and the dew point is near 66 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 58%, and the dew point is near 66 degrees. The livestock heat stress category is no stress north, danger central, and no stress south. Winds are from the west at 12 mph with gusts at 22 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the west at 10 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southwest at 12 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 87 degrees at Richmond, Quantico, and Norfolk. The lowest temperature is MOSUNNY degrees at Roanoke.

Isolated severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind
gusts and large hail are possible this afternoon and evening, 
especially along and south of I-66/US-50.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Thursday through Tuesday

Scattered severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind
gusts and large hail are likely Thursday afternoon, mainly east 
of the Blue Ridge. There is the potential for considerable wind 
damage from 70 mph gusts and large hail.

Heavy rainfall Thursday could result in isolated instances of 
flooding.
