Across Tennessee...temperatures are near 71 degrees west and near 68 degrees central. Current sky conditions are partly cloudy west and partly cloudy central. In the west, relative humidity is near 43%, and the dew point is near 48 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 38%, and the dew point is near 42 degrees. Winds are from the southwest at 3 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the east at 5 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are unavailable east. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 71 degrees at Memphis International Airport. The lowest temperature is 62 degrees at Clarksville.

HISTORIC WEATHER EVENTS

A tornado wiped out the town of Rock Springs TX killing 72 persons and
causing 1.2 million dollars damage. The tornado, more than one mile in
width, destroyed 235 of 247 buildings, leaving no trace of lumber or
contents in many cases. Many survivors were bruised by large hail which
