...New UPDATE...

.UPDATE...
Issued at 558 PM CDT Thu Apr 25 2024

As of 545 PM CDT...skies across Middle Tennessee are overcast.
Temperatures are in the 70s, and it is rather dry at the surface
with dewpoints in the 30s and 40s for most locations. Winds are
light and variable, but generally from the north. Latest WSR-88D
trends show our expected band of showers moving across the
Tennessee River at this time.

For the rest of the evening, these showers will keep trying to
invade east, but the dry air and lack of stronger forcing will
cause them to drastically diminish in coverage. Did increase
chances for precipitation in some areas (mainly the very near-term
where showers are ongoing) as the current showers are
overperforming, but kept QPF amounts the same. Other than that,
forecast remains on track. Temperatures will be above normal
with lows tonight in the 50s and 60s, and highs tomorrow in the
70s to mid 80s.
