Scattered light rain showers across the Northern Plains will
gradually dissipate overnight. Skies will remain mostly cloudy
tonight, with lows ranging from the mid 30s to mid 40s.

After a brief dry period during the day Thursday, another system 
will spread rain and possibly a few thunderstorms across the 
region Thursday night through Friday evening. Saturday will be
drier and warmer, with highs in the mid to upper 60s.

Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in South Dakota
Based on observations at 400am CDT, Thursday May 23, 2019

Across South Dakota...temperatures are near 42 degrees west, near 46 degrees central, and near 49 degrees east. Current sky conditions are not available west, cloudy central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 82%, and the dew point is near 37 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 93%, and the dew point is near 44 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 90%, and the dew point is near 46 degrees. The livestock heat stress category is no stress west, no stress central, and no stress east. Winds are from the west at 3 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to not available. Winds are from the west at 9 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the west at 6 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 49 degrees at HURON and BROOKINGS. The lowest temperature is 29 degrees at CUSTER .
