Widespread highs in the 70s are expected today, with increasing 
chances for showers and thunderstorms this afternoon into 
tonight. An isolated strong storm is possible, mainly in western 
South Dakota. The weather will then trend cooler for the end of 
the work week and into the weekend, with continued decent chances 
for measurable rainfall Friday through Sunday for most areas.

Across South Dakota...temperatures are near 68 degrees west, near 71 degrees central, and near 70 degrees east. Current sky conditions are not available west, sunny central, and partly sunny east. In the west, relative humidity is near 46%, and the dew point is near 47 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 40%, and the dew point is near 46 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 39%, and the dew point is near 44 degrees. Winds are from the south at 17 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the south at 20 mph with gusts at 30 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the south at 22 mph with gusts at 35 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds.
