ON THE WEATHER MAP... A WEAK FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL TRACK ACROSS SOUTH CAROLINA TODAY BRINGING ANOTHER ROUND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA. SLIGHTLY DRIER AIR WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION TONIGHT AND TUESDAY WITH A BREAK FROM THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FOR MOST OF THE AREA ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT. DAYTIME TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE A DEGREE OR TWO BELOW NORMAL THROUGH WEDNESDAY WITH OVERNIGHT LOWS NEAR NORMAL.

Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in South Carolina
Based on observations at 600am EDT, Friday April 26, 2024

Across South Carolina...temperatures are near 57 degrees west, near 59 degrees central, and near 66 degrees east. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, cloudy central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 69%, and the dew point is near 47 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 100%, and the dew point is near 59 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 87%, and the dew point is near 62 degrees. There is patchy fog central. Winds are from the northeast at 14 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southeast at 7 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the east at 9 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 66 degrees at Charleston and Beaufort. The lowest temperature is 55 degrees at Greer and Greenwood.

Killer frosts were reported in the Deep South. The frost was quite severe
around Huntsville AL, and highlighted a backward spring in the South that

An unusually strong occluded front swept out of the Gulf of Alaska and
produced the first April thunderstorm of record at Fairbanks. Pea size hail
fell northeast of Fairbanks from thunderstorms whose tops were less than

forty-seven tornadoes in two days from Louisiana to Upper Michigan. The
