IN PENNSYLVANIA OVERNIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY. SCATTERED RAIN SHOWERS
WILL PREVAIL IN SOUTHERN PENNSYLVANIA WITH RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS
IN THE NORTH. AN INCH OF SNOW ACCUMULATION IS POSSIBLE
IN NORTHWESTERN PENNSYLVANIA WITH LITTLE OR NONE ELSEWHERE.
HIGH PRESSURE WILL BRING CLEARING OVER THE WEEKEND.

THE LOW TEMPERATURE OVERNIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 20S
IN THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS TO THE MID 40S NEAR PHILADELPHIA.
THE HIGH TEMPERATURE THURSDAY WILL VARY FROM THE LOWER 40S

Across Pennsylvania...temperatures are near 41 degrees west, near 41 degrees central, and near 50 degrees east. Current sky conditions are partly cloudy west, drizzle central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 76%, and the dew point is near 34 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 81%, and the dew point is near 36 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 68%, and the dew point is near 40 degrees. Winds are coming from the northwest at 9 mph in the west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are coming from the southwest at 7 mph in the central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to drizzle. Winds are coming from the southwest at 9 mph in the east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. The livestock cold stress index is in the no stress category west, no stress category central, and no stress category east. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 51 degrees at North Phila. The lowest temperature is 32 degrees at Meadville, Franklin, and Bradford.

...FEBRUARY 1899...
February.  "The month will go down in Kentucky history as 'the
cold February'.  From the 9th to the 14th was a period of
unprecedented cold; the temperature in many portions of the State
going to 20 to 30 degrees below zero," and to -33 degrees F at
Sandy Hook on 2/11/1899.  In at least one location, "the Kentucky
River, solidly frozen, was possible for team and wagon."
