SKIES WILL BECOME PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY TODAY...AS THE LOW CLOUDS 
GRADUALLY BURN OFF ACROSS CENTRAL AND EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA. A 
SLOW-MOVING COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON...WITH 
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING ALONG AND AHEAD OF 
THE FRONT. A FEW STRONG STORMS ARE POSSIBLE...PRIMARILY ACROSS 
NORTHERN PENNSYLVANIA. IT WILL BE WARM...WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES 
RANGING FROM THE UPPER 70S IN THE POCONOS TO THE MID 80S ACROSS THE 
LOWER ELEVATIONS OF WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA.

ANY SHOWER ACTIVITY SHOULD DIMINISH TONIGHT. TEMPERATURES WILL 
REMAIN MILD...WITH LOWS RANGING FROM THE UPPER 50S IN THE NORTHWEST 
MOUNTAINS TO THE LOW TO MID 60S ELSEWHERE.

A SUMMER-LIKE HOLIDAY WEEKEND IS IN STORE...WITH ABOVE-NORMAL 
TEMPERATURES AND RELATIVELY HUMID CONDITIONS. ALTHOUGH MUCH OF THE

Across Pennsylvania...temperatures are near 68 degrees west, near 68 degrees central, and near 69 degrees east. Current sky conditions are sunny west, partly sunny central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 73%, and the dew point is near 59 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 83%, and the dew point is near 63 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 96%, and the dew point is near 68 degrees. The livestock heat stress category is no stress west, no stress central, and no stress east. There is patchy fog east. Winds are coming from the south at 8 mph in the west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are coming from the south at 7 mph in the central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are coming from the east at 6 mph in the east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 72 degrees at Latrobe, Indiana, and Erie. The lowest temperature is 61 degrees at Mount Pocono.

MAY 25TH...HISTORIC WEATHER EVENTS
...1917...
A tornado ripped through southeast Kansas, traveling 65 mph. The average
speed was a record for any tornado. (The Weather Channel)
...1955...
Two tornadoes struck the town of Blackwell OK within a few minutes time
during the late evening. The tornadoes killed 18 persons and injured more
than 500 others. Early the next morning a tornado virtually obliterated the
small community of Udall KS killing 80 persons and injuring 270 persons.
More than half the persons in the community were killed or injured by the
