A strong cold front will cross the state tonight. Strong to 
severe thunderstorms will continue this evening ahead of the 
frontal boundary. 

The storms will slowly push off to the south and east after 
midnight. Much drier air will follow the front and temperatures 
will dip into the mid 50s in the northwest. The lows in the 
southeastern piedmont will stay mild in the lower 70s as the 
front will not get there until close to sunrise.

Wednesday looks dry and much cooler. A lone shower may drift into
northwest PA late in the afternoon. The humidity will be much
lower and make it much more comfortable. Highs will only be near
70 on the tops of the hills in the Alleghenies and Laurels, while
it will be 80 to 85 degrees in the Susquehanna and Delaware 
valleys.

It should remain dry and comfortable through early next week.

Across Pennsylvania...temperatures are near 71 degrees west, near 70 degrees central, and near 83 degrees east. Current sky conditions are partly cloudy west, partly cloudy central, and mostly cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 90%, and the dew point is near 68 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 93%, and the dew point is near 68 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 69%, and the dew point is near 72 degrees. The livestock heat stress category is no stress west, no stress central, and no stress east. Winds are coming from the south at 7 mph in the west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are coming from the southwest at 7 mph in the central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are coming from the south at 13 mph in the east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 85 degrees at North Phila. The lowest temperature is 64 degrees at Franklin.
