Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
602 AM EDT Tue Mar 19 2024

Following one of the warmest starts to March on record, a brisk
and chilly winter-like pattern will bring rounds of snow showers
for the first few days of Spring. Spring officially begins today
at 11:06 p.m.

Scattered snow showers and flurries this morning will dwindle
before giving way to light snow developing later today across the
northern tier of the Commonwealth. High temperatures this
afternoon in the mid 30s to mid 40s will be 5 to 10 degrees warmer
than yesterday across the western half of the Keystone State, but
still 5 to 10 degrees below average for mid to late March.

Another round of snow showers on Wednesday will be accompanied by
gusty winds and possibly a few snow squalls. Snow showers and
breezy conditions will diminish through Thursday.

Temperatures should bottom Thursday into Thursday night and trend
seasonably milder over the weekend and into next week. A period
of rain (or wet snow at higher elevations) is likely Friday night
into Saturday morning.
