Canadian high pressure will build over the eastern Great Lakes 
tonight before moving to New England Friday, providing a stretch of 
dry weather through Friday. Temperatures will warm nicely Friday 
after another cold night tonight. The warming trend will then 
continue over the weekend and into early next week, resulting in 
late spring-like warmth engulfing our region both Sunday and Monday. 
While there will also be a few showers and thunderstorms around, 
particularly during Saturday, a fair amount of dry time can also be 
expected.

Across New York...temperatures are near 45 degrees west, near 45 degrees central, and near 46 degrees east. Current sky conditions are clear west, clear central, and partly cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 35%, and the dew point is near 19 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 34%, and the dew point is near 18 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 53%, and the dew point is near 30 degrees. Winds are coming from the northeast at 7 mph in the west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are coming from the northwest at 9 mph in the central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are coming from the south at 10 mph with gusts at 20 mph in the east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 54 degrees at Poughkeepsie. The lowest temperature is 38 degrees at Saranac Lake.
