Canadian high pressure will build over the eastern Great Lakes 
tonight before moving to New England Friday, providing a stretch of 
dry weather through Friday. Temperatures will warm nicely Friday 
after another cold night tonight. The warming trend will then 
continue over the weekend and into early next week, resulting in 
late spring-like warmth engulfing our region both Sunday and Monday. 
While there will also be a few showers and thunderstorms around, 
particularly during Saturday, a fair amount of dry time can also be 
expected.

In the west, relative humidity is near 37%, and the dew point is near 25 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 25%, and the dew point is near 16 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 40%, and the dew point is near 27 degrees. Winds are coming from the northeast at 10 mph in the west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are coming from the northwest at 9 mph in the central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are coming from the south at 12 mph in the east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 57 degrees at Poughkeepsie. The lowest temperature is 44 degrees at Saranac Lake and Plattsburgh.
