Canadian high pressure will build over the eastern Great Lakes 
tonight before moving to New England Friday, providing a stretch of 
dry weather through Friday. Temperatures will warm nicely Friday 
after another cold night tonight. The warming trend will then 
continue over the weekend and into early next week, resulting in 
late spring-like warmth engulfing our region both Sunday and Monday. 
While there will also be a few showers and thunderstorms around, 
particularly during Saturday, a fair amount of dry time can also be 
expected.

In the west, relative humidity is near 50%, and the dew point is near 19 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 69%, and the dew point is near 24 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 63%, and the dew point is near 33 degrees. Winds are coming from the east at 6 mph in the west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. The wind chill is near 31 degrees west. Winds are coming from the east at 3 mph in the central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are coming from the south at 5 mph in the east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 45 degrees at New York City. The lowest temperature is 20 degrees at Saranac Lake.

produced the first April thunderstorm of record at Fairbanks. Pea size hail
fell northeast of Fairbanks from thunderstorms whose tops were less than
