A cold front will move slowly south across the area through this 
evening with numerous showers and a few widely scattered 
thunderstorms. The rain will end from north to south overnight as 
the front moves away from the area. High pressure will then build 
from the Great Lakes into New England Monday and Tuesday with dry 
weather. The next chance of showers and thunderstorms will arrive 
Wednesday as low pressure moves through the Great Lakes.

Across New Jersy...temperatures are near 57 degrees north, near 56 degrees central, and near 57 degrees south. Current sky conditions are not available north, partly sunny central, and cloudy south. In the north, relative humidity is near 55%, and the dew point is near 41 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 66%, and the dew point is near 45 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 62%, and the dew point is near 44 degrees. Winds are calm north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to not available. Winds are from the southwest at 5 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the west at 6 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. The livestock cold stress index is in the no stress category north, no stress category central, and no stress category south. Historical Weather And Climate Facts For Today

The cold weather of early June finally gave way to several days of 90
degree heat in Massachusetts, including a reading of 99 degrees at Salem.

Six men at a rock quarry south of Winston-Salem NC sought shelter from a
thunderstorm. The structure chosen contained a quantity of dynamite.
Lightning struck a near-by tree causing the dynamite to explode. The men
were killed instantly. (The Weather Channel)
Twelve inches of hail broke windows and roofs, and dented automobiles,
causing more than fourteen million dollars damage. The storm plowed 200
miles from Kingmand County KS into Missouri, with the Wichita area hardest
hit. It was the most disastrous hailstorm of record for the state of

Thunderstorms produced a swath of hail 60 miles long and 3.5 miles wide
through parts of Hand, Beadle, Kingsbury, Miner and Jerauld counties in
South Dakota. Poultry and livestock were killed, and many persons were
injured. Hail ten inches in circumference was reported at Huron SD. (The
