Across Nebraska...temperatures are near 53 degrees west, near 56 degrees central, and near 61 degrees east. Current sky conditions are mostly cloudy west, mostly cloudy central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 66%, and the dew point is near 42 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 49%, and the dew point is near 37 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 44%, and the dew point is near 39 degrees. Winds are from the south at 24 mph with gusts at 35 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southeast at 10 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the south at 8 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 63 degrees at OMAHA EPPLEY. The lowest temperature is 33 degrees at ALBION.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For POLK County, Nebraska

 DAY ONE  This Afternoon and Tonight.

Strong to severe thunderstorms will become possible late
overnight, generally after 3AM, and mainly for areas along and
south of the Nebraska, Kansas state line. The primary severe 
threat will be large hail up to golf ball size.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Thursday through Tuesday.

Another round of strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible
Thursday evening and night. Large hail up to golf ball size and
damaging wind gusts look to be the primary threats with this 
activity, though a tornado or two will be possible.

Additional off and on thunderstorms are possible Friday into
Friday night, and Saturday into Sunday evening, and again Tuesday
evening and Tuesday night. 

Non-thunderstorm west to southwest wind gusts of 40 to 45 MPH
will be possible Friday afternoon.
