Across Nebraska...temperatures are near 44 degrees west, near 45 degrees central, and near 55 degrees east. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, partly cloudy central, and mostly cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 57%, and the dew point is near 30 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 65%, and the dew point is near 34 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 80%, and the dew point is near 49 degrees. There is thunder east. Winds are from the northwest at 5 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the north at 10 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the south at 5 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 63 degrees at TEKAMAH . The lowest temperature is 33 degrees at KEARNEY.

 DAY ONE  Today and tonight.

Elevated fire weather conditions are possible this afternoon,
generally west of highway 83. Gusty northerly winds will combine with
minimum relative humidity of 20 to 25 percent in these areas. 

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Wednesday through Monday.

The potential for thunderstorms will increase beginning Thursday 
afternoon and continue through Sunday. At this time, the greatest
severe threat is Thursday afternoon into Thursday night. The main
threat is south of a line from Antioch to Bartlett. Large hail and
damaging winds are the main severe threats. Beyond Thursday night,
the threat for severe storms is low.
