Current sky conditions are light rain west, partly sunny central, and light rain east. In the west, relative humidity is near 90%, and the dew point is near 46 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 86%, and the dew point is near 52 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 97%, and the dew point is near 55 degrees. There is patchy fog west. Winds are from the northwest at 17 mph with gusts at 32 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds and light rain. Winds are calm central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. All NWS Radars (In near-real time), Current Livestock Heat Stress Index (LSI), Current Wind Chill Map Hazardous Weather Outlook For LOUP County, Nebraska 1021 AM CDT Fri Apr 26 2024 /921 AM MDT Fri Apr 26 2024/ DAY ONE This afternoon and tonight. Showers and thunderstorms continue through most of today, with the primary severe weather threat in portions of north central Nebraska during the afternoon hours. Large hail and heavy rain are the primary threats, though damaging winds and a brief tornado cannot be ruled out. The threat for serious flash flooding appears low at this time, but lowland flooding will be possible as up to an inch and a half of rain is forecast across western Nebraska. DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN Saturday through Thursday. Another round of storms is expected late Saturday through Sunday. Some storms may produce large hail across southwest Nebraska on Saturday. New rainfall amounts up to an inch and a half are again possible across the area. SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT Spotter activation may be needed.
