- Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected
  through the weekend. 

- Severe weather appears likely (>80% chance) during the 
  afternoon and evening hours on both Friday, Saturday, and 
  perhaps Sunday. 

- Flash flooding is also a concern due to the potential for 
  repeated thunderstorm activity over the same areas.

Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Nebraska
Based on observations at 1000am CDT, Friday April 26, 2024

Across Nebraska...temperatures are near 49 degrees west, near 56 degrees central, and near 56 degrees east. Current sky conditions are light rain west, partly sunny central, and light rain east. In the west, relative humidity is near 90%, and the dew point is near 46 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 86%, and the dew point is near 52 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 97%, and the dew point is near 55 degrees. There is patchy fog west. Winds are from the northwest at 17 mph with gusts at 32 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds and light rain. Winds are calm central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southeast at 21 mph with gusts at 33 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds and light rain. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 65 degrees at HEBRON. The lowest temperature is RAIN degrees at THEDFORD, ORD, and NORFOLK.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For LOUP County, Nebraska

1021 AM CDT Fri Apr 26 2024 /921 AM MDT Fri Apr 26 2024/

 DAY ONE  This afternoon and tonight.

Showers and thunderstorms continue through most of today, with the
primary severe weather threat in portions of north central Nebraska 
during the afternoon hours. Large hail and heavy rain are the 
primary threats, though damaging winds and a brief tornado cannot be
ruled out. The threat for serious flash flooding appears low at this
time, but lowland flooding will be possible as up to an inch and a 
half of rain is forecast across western Nebraska.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Saturday through Thursday.

Another round of storms is expected late Saturday through Sunday. 
Some storms may produce large hail across southwest Nebraska on
Saturday. New rainfall amounts up to an inch and a half are again 
possible across the area.
