- Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected
  through the weekend. 

- Marginal risk of severe weather tonight especially across 
  eastern Nebraska.

- Severe weather appears likely (>80% chance) during the 
  afternoon and evening hours on both Friday, Saturday, and 
  perhaps Sunday. 

- Flash flooding is also a concern due to the potential for 
  repeated thunderstorm activity over the same areas.

Across Nebraska...temperatures are near 60 degrees west, near 61 degrees central, and near 53 degrees east. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, thunderstorms central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 83%, and the dew point is near 55 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 77%, and the dew point is near 54 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 86%, and the dew point is near 49 degrees. Winds are from the southeast at 13 mph with gusts at 22 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southeast at 20 mph with gusts at 32 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds and thunderstorms. Winds are from the southeast at 15 mph with gusts at 22 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 61 degrees at BROKEN BOW. The lowest temperature is 48 degrees at MILLARD.

 DAY ONE  THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected 
today and tonight. A few storms may be strong to locally severe, 
especially east of I-25. The primary hazards will be large hail,
heavy rainfall, and damaging wind gusts, although an isolated 
tornado or two will be possible. The potential will exist for 
cold-core funnel clouds as well. 

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

An extremely active weather pattern persists through the weekend 
with widespread stratiform rain with embedded thunder likely for 
most areas from Friday through Sunday.
