A few could be strong and produce gusty winds. - Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected Thursday through the weekend, though confidence is somewhat low on exact timing of any given round. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, partly cloudy central, and light rain east. In the west, relative humidity is near 48%, and the dew point is near 31 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 70%, and the dew point is near 35 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 63%, and the dew point is near 47 degrees. Winds are from the northeast at 15 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the north at 3 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the south at 7 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to light rain. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 63 degrees at FALLS CITY. The lowest temperature is 35 degrees at ALBION.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible tonight, generally between I-80 and Highway 2. The risk of severe storms is low. DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN Tuesday through Sunday. Breezy northerly winds and low relative humidity will lead to elevated fire weather conditions Tuesday afternoon across the the Sandhills and southwest Nebraska. The potential for thunderstorms will increase beginning Thursday afternoon and continue through Sunday. At this time, the severe threat is uncertain.
