Widespread highs in the 70s are expected today, with increasing 
chances for showers and thunderstorms this afternoon into 
tonight. An isolated strong storm is possible, mainly in western 
South Dakota. The weather will then trend cooler for the end of 
the work week and into the weekend, with continued decent chances 
for measurable rainfall Friday through Sunday for most areas.

Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in North Dakota
Based on observations at 1000am CDT, Thursday April 25, 2024

Across North Dakota...temperatures are near 56 degrees west, near 57 degrees central, and near 63 degrees east. Current sky conditions are mostly sunny west, sunny central, and mostly sunny east. In the west, relative humidity is near 47%, and the dew point is near 36 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 48%, and the dew point is near 38 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 35%, and the dew point is near 35 degrees. Winds are from the southeast at 12 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the south at 15 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southeast at 24 mph with gusts at 36 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 63 degrees at YANKTON and JAMESTOWN. The lowest temperature is 54 degrees at HETTINGER ARPT.

Scattered thunderstorms are possible this afternoon through 
tonight. Severe weather is not expected. 

Strong southeast winds sustained around 30 mph and gusting to 40
mph are possible late this afternoon into the evening.
