Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in North Carolina
Based on observations at 800am EDT, Friday April 19, 2024

Across North Carolina...temperatures are near 59 degrees west, near 57 degrees central, and near 55 degrees east. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, mostly sunny central, and partly sunny east. In the west, relative humidity is near 83%, and the dew point is near 54 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 83%, and the dew point is near 52 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 89%, and the dew point is near 52 degrees. Winds are from the south at 3 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the northeast at 7 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the northeast at 10 mph with gusts at 20 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 67 degrees at Charlotte. The lowest temperature is 50 degrees at Manteo.

 DAY ONE  Today and tonight.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to move into the western 
Piedmont by mid afternoon today, and move eastward across central 
North Carolina through the evening. A few of these storms may become
strong to severe, with a primary threat of damaging straight line 
winds. Large hail is also possible.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Saturday through Thursday.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

Spotter activation may be needed this afternoon into this evening.
