Across North Carolina...temperatures are near 32 degrees west, near 45 degrees central, and near 49 degrees east. Current sky conditions are clear west, clear central, and sunny east. In the west, relative humidity is near 81%, and the dew point is near 27 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 47%, and the dew point is near 26 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 65%, and the dew point is near 38 degrees. Winds are calm west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the west at 12 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the northwest at 9 mph with gusts at 21 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 49 degrees at Cape Hatteras. The lowest temperature is 32 degrees at Asheville.

Low afternoon humidity and gusty winds will produce increased fire
danger levels for the northern half of the forecast area.
