Across North Carolina...temperatures are near 73 degrees west, near 69 degrees central, and near 61 degrees east. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, clear central, and clear east. In the west, relative humidity is near 47%, and the dew point is near 52 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 50%, and the dew point is near 50 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 90%, and the dew point is near 58 degrees. Winds are variable at 3 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are calm central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the northeast at 5 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 76 degrees at Charlotte. The lowest temperature is 54 degrees at Manteo.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop Friday afternoon and

a primary threat of damaging winds along with the potential for 
large hail.
