Issued at 1008 AM CDT Fri Apr 19 2024

Mesoscale update: This morning the forecast remains on track as the 
dense fog has cleared in the far southeast and low stratus/fog is 
beginning to clear in the the Ms Delta , thus no major changes have 
been made to the forecast. Sky cover has been increased to reflect 
the overcast cloud cover today. Rain and isolated storm chances will 
remain possible today mainly along and north of the HWY-82 corridor. 
High temperatures for the day will have a wide gradient from 
northwest to southeast. High temps in the northwest will be 
seasonably cool in the low - mid 70s, while high temps in the 
southeast will be seasonably warm in the low - mid 80s./KP/

Across Mississippi...temperatures are near 70 degrees north, near 81 degrees central, and near 82 degrees south. Current sky conditions are cloudy north, partly sunny central, and mostly sunny south. In the north, relative humidity is near 81%, and the dew point is near 64 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 64%, and the dew point is near 68 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 58%, and the dew point is near 66 degrees. Winds are from the north at 12 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southwest at 3 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are variable at 3 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 84 degrees at Pinebelt. The lowest temperature is 66 degrees at Greenville.
