Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Missouri

Across Missouri...temperatures are near 54 degrees north, near 55 degrees central, and near 53 degrees south. Current sky conditions are cloudy north, cloudy central, and light rain south. In the north, relative humidity is near 59%, and the dew point is near 40 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 83%, and the dew point is near 50 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 89%, and the dew point is near 50 degrees. Winds are from the southeast at 17 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the east at 25 mph with gusts at 35 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southeast at 8 mph south, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to light rain. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 56 degrees at Whiteman Air Force Base, Spirit of St. Louis, Lee's Summit, Columbia, and Chillicothe. The lowest temperature is 52 degrees at Rolla.

 DAY ONE  This Afternoon and Tonight

A small chance of thunderstorms will spread slowly eastward across
southeast Missouri into southern Illinois and west Kentucky
through tonight. Lightning and a brief heavy downpour will be the
primary concerns.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible mainly over southeast 
Missouri and southern Illinois Friday through Saturday. A few
severe storms with a damaging wind and hail threat will be 
possible mainly over southeast Missouri and southern Illinois.

More widespread thunderstorms will push eastward across the region
beginning late Sunday and continuing through Monday. Some of the 
initial storms Sunday afternoon and evening could be severe over 
southeast Missouri and southern Illinois. Heavy rainfall and 
flooding will also be more of a concern Sunday night and Monday.

South winds will gust 30 to 40 mph at times on Sunday.

 SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT  

Spotter activation cannot be ruled out over southeast Missouri and
southern Illinois Friday afternoon into Friday night, and again
late Sunday afternoon through Sunday night.
