Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Missouri

Across Missouri...temperatures are near 63 degrees north, near 65 degrees central, and near 64 degrees south. Current sky conditions are sunny north, sunny central, and sunny south. In the north, relative humidity is near 33%, and the dew point is near 34 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 28%, and the dew point is near 31 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 22%, and the dew point is near 25 degrees. Winds are from the southwest at 20 mph with gusts at 26 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the west at 13 mph with gusts at 21 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are variable at 7 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 67 degrees at Lee's Summit. The lowest temperature is 62 degrees at Springfield and Rolla.

HISTORIC WEATHER EVENTS

Thane Creek AK reported a snow cover of 190 inches. (The Weather Channel)
...1920...
The worst tornado disaster of record occurred in Chicago IL as a tornado
killed 28 persons and caused three million dollars damage. (David Ludlum)
...1997...
Ten tornadoes tore across the area, affecting the Kentucky counties of 
Adair, Metcalfe, Casey, Green, Larue, Marion, Hardin, Hart, Nelson, and 
Russell; and the Indiana counties of Scott and Jefferson. Two of the 
twisters produced F3 damage. A 28-year-old woman was killed in Metcalfe 
County as she was thrown from her destroyed mobile home. A 40-year-old man 
was killed when his house in Bonnieville (Hart County) was hit by one of 
the F3 tornadoes and blown off its foundation. This tornado injured many 
people when it caused several car accidents as it crossed Interstate 65.
