Current sky conditions are cloudy north, cloudy central, and cloudy south. In the north, relative humidity is near 59%, and the dew point is near 40 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 83%, and the dew point is near 50 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 89%, and the dew point is near 50 degrees. Winds are from the southeast at 15 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the east at 17 mph with gusts at 28 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Lightning and a brief heavy downpour will be the primary concerns. DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN Friday through Wednesday Scattered thunderstorms will be possible mainly over southeast Missouri and southern Illinois Friday through Saturday. A few severe storms with a damaging wind and hail threat will be possible mainly over southeast Missouri and southern Illinois. More widespread thunderstorms will push eastward across the region beginning late Sunday and continuing through Monday. Some of the initial storms Sunday afternoon and evening could be severe over southeast Missouri and southern Illinois. Heavy rainfall and flooding will also be more of a concern Sunday night and Monday. South winds will gust 30 to 40 mph at times on Sunday.
