Across Missouri...temperatures are near 25 degrees north, near 33 degrees central, and near 32 degrees south. Current sky conditions are clear north, clear central, and clear south. In the north, relative humidity is near 78%, and the dew point is near 19 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 81%, and the dew point is near 28 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 75%, and the dew point is near 25 degrees. Winds are from the south at 7 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. The wind chill is near 17 degrees north. Winds are calm central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are calm south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 37 degrees at Sedalia. The lowest temperature is 25 degrees at Kirksville.

 DAY ONE  Tonight.

Weather hazards expected  

Significant frost risk.

DISCUSSION  

Widespread frost and areas of freezing temperatures will occur
again tonight into early Thursday morning. 

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Thursday through Tuesday.

Gusty southwest winds up to 30 to 40 mph will produce an elevated
non-thunderstorm wind risk on Friday for locations west of
Highway 65 as well as elevated fire weather conditions.

Thunderstorms will be possible late in the weekend into early
next week.

  Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.

Thane Creek AK reported a snow cover of 190 inches. (The Weather Channel)

The worst tornado disaster of record occurred in Chicago IL as a tornado
killed 28 persons and caused three million dollars damage. (David Ludlum)
...1997...
Ten tornadoes tore across the area, affecting the Kentucky counties of 
Adair, Metcalfe, Casey, Green, Larue, Marion, Hardin, Hart, Nelson, and 
Russell; and the Indiana counties of Scott and Jefferson. Two of the 
twisters produced F3 damage. A 28-year-old woman was killed in Metcalfe 
County as she was thrown from her destroyed mobile home. A 40-year-old man 
was killed when his house in Bonnieville (Hart County) was hit by one of 
the F3 tornadoes and blown off its foundation. This tornado injured many 
people when it caused several car accidents as it crossed Interstate 65.
