Winds turn southwesterly on Saturday with a warming trend 
expected over the weekend into early next week. A weak front 
will bring a few widely scattered showers Saturday night into 
Sunday. Monday will be warm away from the coast, with cooler 
temperatures along the coast where the sea breeze develops. 
Expect a better chance of showers on Tuesday along with much 
cooler temperatures.

Across Maine...temperatures are near 45 degrees north, near 52 degrees central, and near 49 degrees south. Current sky conditions are clear north, clear central, and clear south. In the north, relative humidity is near 30%, and the dew point is near 15 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 21%, and the dew point is near 13 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 36%, and the dew point is near 23 degrees. Winds are from the north at 6 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the northwest at 6 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the south at 6 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 53 degrees at Bangor. The lowest temperature is 45 degrees at Frenchville and Caribou.

An unusually strong occluded front swept out of the Gulf of Alaska and
produced the first April thunderstorm of record at Fairbanks. Pea size hail
fell northeast of Fairbanks from thunderstorms whose tops were less than

Severe thunderstorms associated with an intense cyclone spawned a total of
forty-seven tornadoes in two days from Louisiana to Upper Michigan. The
