Rain continues today, changing to snow in the mountains, before
ending this evening. Winds will be gusting to 30 mph Friday
night and Saturday behind the departing low pressure. Light snow
showers possible early Sunday morning, mainly over New Hampshire,
before our pattern becomes drier and warmer into Monday. The
pattern becomes unsettled again Tuesday, with a chance for a
significant system midweek.

Across Maine...temperatures are near 37 degrees north, near 37 degrees central, and near 40 degrees south. Current sky conditions are light rain north, mixed precipitation central, and light rain south. In the north, relative humidity is near 92%, and the dew point is near 35 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 96%, and the dew point is near 36 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 93%, and the dew point is near 38 degrees. There is patchy fog central. Winds are from the north at 8 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to light rain. Winds are from the northwest at 6 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to mixed precipitation. Winds are from the north at 12 mph south, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to light rain. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 39 degrees at Wiscasset, Portland, and Bangor. The lowest temperature is RAIN degrees at Presque Isle.
