Winds turn to the southwesterly on Saturday with a warming 
trend expected over the weekend into early next week. A weak 
front will bring a few widely scattered showers Saturday night 
into Sunday. Monday will be warm away from the coast, with 
cooler temperatures along the coast where the sea breeze 
develops. Expect a better chance of showers on Tuesday along 
with much cooler temperatures.

Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Maine
Based on observations at 400pm EDT, Friday April 26, 2024

Across Maine...temperatures are near 48 degrees north, near 53 degrees central, and near 54 degrees south. Current sky conditions are fair north, fair central, and sunny south. In the north, relative humidity is near 22%, and the dew point is near 11 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 18%, and the dew point is near 11 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 26%, and the dew point is near 20 degrees. Winds are from the northwest at 14 mph with gusts at 23 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the north at 13 mph with gusts at 20 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southeast at 13 mph south, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 55 degrees at Waterville. The lowest temperature is 46 degrees at Frenchville.

An unusually strong occluded front swept out of the Gulf of Alaska and
produced the first April thunderstorm of record at Fairbanks. Pea size hail
fell northeast of Fairbanks from thunderstorms whose tops were less than

Severe thunderstorms associated with an intense cyclone spawned a total of
forty-seven tornadoes in two days from Louisiana to Upper Michigan. The
