effect through 04Z this evening for McCurtain County OK and the

Hazardous Weather Outlook For RED RIVER County, LA

131 PM CDT Thu Apr 18 2024

DAY ONE This afternoon and tonight.

Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible this
afternoon through the late evening hours across areas generally near
and north of the I-20 Corridor of Northeast Texas and Northern
Louisiana which includes Southeast Oklahoma and Southwest Arkansas.
Large hail, damaging thunderstorm wind gusts and locally heavy
downpours will be the greatest threat with severe weather through
this evening. The severe thunderstorm threat should diminish late
tonight.

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN Friday through Wednesday.

While the severe weather threat should diminish Friday through the
weekend, an upper level storm system will move our way late Friday
Night. This storm system will likely produce periods of heavy
rainfall across our region Saturday through Saturday Night before the
storm system moves east of our region on Sunday. Look for widespread
rainfall amounts of one to three inches possible with isolated higher
amounts. This could result in additional rises on area waterways.
Poor drainage and flood prone areas will be susceptible to flash
flooding.

 SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT

Spotter activation is possible this afternoon through this evening.
