Updated Tuesday Evening, August 22, 2017

...Rain chances increase today...

The focus as of 4 PM is on two bands of showers and storms progressing to the SE ahead of a cold front. Activity will continue into the overnight, before diminishing across Southeastern Kentucky tomorrow morning. Could still see some strong to severe activity this afternoon with damaging winds as the main threat. Otherwise, most can expect a round of heavy rain with any passing storm.

Much cooler and drier air then filters into the area for the remainder of the week. Highs in the middle 70s to low 80s and lows in the 50s will be common.
